Type: Refined, winterized, deodorized, bleached.
Standards: Conforms to British Standard BS 684, European Standard CEN/TC 307, International Organization for Standardization ISO/TC 34/SC11, United Nations International Food Standards, FAO Codex Alimentarius CODEX STAN 210-1999 for designated vegetable oils, or the standard of the country of production.
Quality: Fit for human consumption, free from foreign matter, other oils, or animal fats.
Color (5 1/4 Lovibond): Maximum Red 3, light yellow, clear and transparent.
Odor: Characteristic taste, odorless.
Visibility: No deposits or fuzziness.
Taste: Neutral, with no artificial flavor, free from rancidity or any strange or unpleasant taste or odor.
Shelf Life: 12 months, may be up to 24 months with additives.
